My new shirt



I sewed a new shirt for myself.
I bought the cotton with only 2 dollars. It is very thin, so I cannot wear it on till next spring..
I took this pattern from a book, titled "sewing talk".

It fits me very well, so I ordered some fabrics at an online shop to make other shirts.
As always, I sewed it all by my hands, but it took only 3 hours or so.

    oh that shirt is so cute!!!

    nice to hear that someone else sews only by hand. I don't like to use a machine and do all sewing and mending by hand.

    both of my thumbs split at the ends...and my left middle finger (I am left handed)... gets hard and tough in the winter when I do lots of quilting...I also knit, which really dries out my hands... they are a painful mess in the winter.... bloody fingers...you too??

    Jan, I'm luckey that my skin is really strong and tough for dry.
    My boyfriend often says me not to make halls and doesn't want to see my blood...

    These shirts are very cute! And since it is spring, you can wear them now.

    I think even in fall or winter they would be cute. you could wear them over a long sleeved light sweater or long sleeved t-shirt.

    Very nice. I have tried sewing some clothes and did some skirts for myself. Haven't sewn in a while. When I find some free time, will try to sew again.
