Recycle? Remake???

Today, I changed my clothes for autumn and found some ones that I won't wear no more.

One of them is a knit camisole. Because of washing, it shrank and became really small, and also has a hole.. I like it very much and I wear it for more than 10 years. So, I decided to make a bag from it.
I used almost all and cut only some little pieces. The bottom is made of the rib of the camisole.
At last, I put a cardboard on the bottom, because I bring my heavy camera every day. My bag is always very heavy.
I'm content because it comes what I wanted.

Now, I have two old jeans of my boyfriend. They both have some holes on them. I'm thinking of how I can recycle them. It's the most pleasant time for me.

P.S.
In Japanese, it is called "remake" or "reform", but I don't know if English speakers call so. How do you call it in English?

Thank you ML!
I made some bags from my old clothes, but I couldn't make them good. I learned from those failures.

That's so nifty!
I think the word we'd usually use in english for this would be "recycle".

Hello Mairuru
I found your blog from etsy, and have often stopped by to check out what you are working on. I live in Canada.
the thing I love the most about your blog is that you sound like such a gentle soul! i would love to sit in a rocking chair on a porch with you for an afternoon and make little quilts!

Hello Little Pilgrim!
I'd like to do so with you in the big nature!
I've been to Canada once in winter, about 15 years ago. I've met many kind people there. I want to visit there again to say thank you.
I like your clothes! They are very cute!

I've been browsing your blog for the last couple of days now and I love what you create, how you create it and what your thoughts are behind your creations. I do love your photos as well.
I would actually call your re-made bag "upcycled". Instead of throwing away something old you give it a new purpose and a new form. It's "better" now than it was before (broken and old), so the term "upcycling" fits quite well, I guess.
